Countries With Freedom Of Speech 2020 - World Population Researchers asked participants of 38 countries a series of five questions with answers ranging from 0-8. Zero representing the least support for freedom of expression and 8 representing the most supportive for freedom of expression. A median score was calculated for each country. The United States received the highest score of 5.73. The world's most tolerant, progressive, and eco-friendly Movehub compared three different studies from 2016 to determine the most liberal nations — the Social Progress Index, the Environmental Performance Index and the World Economic Forum's (WEF) Gender Gap report.. The Social Progress Index examines dozens of categories like religious and LGBT tolerance, affordable housing, press freedom and access to education.
Immigration and freedom of movement is an interesting case, since it doesn't always apply directly within the United States but between the United States and other countries. However, the US does not allow unrestricted immigration from even its neighboring countries, Canada and Mexico. Most people need a visa to stay indefinitely in the US.
