Sep 11, 2013 · Basically WinSCP does not come with pre-trusted certificates, which is preferable for security reasons but a bit inconvenient as I couldn’t find this information documented. The only information I could find was this which implied that the certificates from the Windows store would be used, and I definitely had the GeoTrust root certificate there.
